DESCRIPTION:Climate Action KC was founded with the recognition that policymakers at the local level can make real change. We work to support the network of climate leaders on both sides of the state line who work alongside their City and County staff and community partners to achieve a healthier and prosperous future for all. \nFrom time to time\, we get together to discuss current activities and what’s ahead. If you are a local elected official\, an incumbent\, newly elected or former\, please join us for an upcoming happy hour! \nGoal: To build awareness\, momentum and alignment among regional policy makers on climate action strategies. \n\nReinvigorate connections among local climate leaders\nHear about current policy initiatives from neighboring communities\nIntroduce or remind local elected officials about Climate Action KC and our services\n(Education support and training\, additional staff capacity fee-for-service opportunities\, coordination for climate action policies across jurisdictions)\n\nIf you are interested in attending\, r.s.v.p. to Emily Randel at emily@climateactionkc.com
